This is a story about a pretty wild river trip I just came back from. Some of you have probably heard about The Middle Fork of The Salmon, which is one of North-America's most famous rivers amongst white-water enthusiasts. The river is in Idaho, about 3 hours drive from where I live. From Wendesday to Sunday I went down this classic river with 15 other guys.

The waterlevel was 8 feet which is quite high for this rier - solid class IV. Everyone except me had been down the river at about 6 feet. Normally, the trip starts at a place called Boundary Creek, but at this time of year the road is closed because of show, so we had to start higher on a tributary called Marsh Creek. Noone had been down this section, so it would be quite interesting. Actually, there was one who had been down this section before but he decided to fly his gear into a place called Indian Creek which is about 30 miles into the run. This should have given the rest of us a hint of what the river had in mind for us. The whole trip was around 115 miles. Here is a little map of most places on the river.
