I was born and raised in Denmark, just north of Copenhagen. This is a great place but far from any mountain, rock or caves. So by my mid-twenties I had to get away!
Climbing Since the early 90's I have had a passion for climbing. Mostly rock climbing, mountaineering and ice climbing. The 9 years living in England brought my climbing skills up to level I wanted - climbing extreme with a bunch of really good friends. At the height of the English Campaign I was climbing every day mostly with my good friend Martin. I also climbed in Yosemite, Mexico and other great places. As I moved to Grenoble, my interest turned towards cave exploration and La Grave snowboarding. Climbing is still a big part of my life, and if I can't climb outdoor, I climb on indoor artificial walls.
Cave exploration
I caught the interest in caving on the rainy days in England where underground exploration seemed a natural supplement to rock climbing. As I moved to France the interest grew as Grenoble is a center for cave exploration and the birthplace for many of the techniques used in vertical caving. I have dropped (gone down on a rope) in some amazing caving in the Vercors and there is so much still there to be done. I've also been caving in Guatemala, Belize and Mexico.
Kite surfing and Paragliding
As a regular windsurfer and snowboarder in my youth I picked up kitesurfing which is a hybrid sport developed in the 2000's. It has a lot of the qualities from other extreme sports and the fact that you can transfer the sport from the water to snow to ground (all using the kite) is just plain excellent. I've coupled my new found interest in the wind element with learning how to paraglide.
